The Levitt Report - who can we put our trust in?

Ethics and ethical practice have never been so important for the construction industry and it's associated professions. No wonder he looks confused. He's about to take the RICS APC when he can expect to be questioned on the RICS Code of Conduct five principles;

  • Act with integrity. Be honest and straightforward in all that you do. ...

  • Always provide a high standard of service. ...

  • Act in a way that promotes trust in the profession. ...

  • Treat others with respect. ...

  • Take responsibility

Attributes that have been clearly lacking recently in the RICS corridors of power.

I hope it doesn't happen, it's horrible when you can't trust your government or your institutions, and that affects the whole of society over time. I will read more on the subject to find out more about what is happening with RICS, and I hope that RICS continues on the right track and continues to be the trustworthy and fair Institute that it was.
